The Society was originally founded in 1819 by Lord Braybrooke and has continued on and off ever since with interregnums caused by war years and recession.
We now hold three shows each year and arrange evening talks from October to April, and organise up to six coach outings a year to a variety of outstanding gardens. In alternate years members open their own gardens for the enjoyment of others.
